Madison County 4-H GeoTech Club learn about GIS and GPS

Madison County 4-H has a new GeoTech club that is being supported by the Haywood Community College Geospatial Technology faculty. The GeoTech Club is made up of students ages 8 - 17 that are working with the ESRI U.S. Community Atlas program to develop a GIS/GPS project in which teachers and students across the country define the nature of "their community" and post descriptions and maps about it.

Getting kids involved with exciting technologies like GIS and GPS provides gets them interested for a lifetime and demonstrates Haywood Community College's committment to the growing community in western North Carolina.
