Open House Draws Potential Students

Thanks to the efforts of many in the Natural Resources Division the Open House was a success. Several potential students met with instructors from the GIS/GPS, Wildlife Management, Forestry, Pulp and Paper, and Horticulture Technology programs.
Some of the activities for open house participants included a demonstration by Dr. Sherman on extracting DNA from strawberries. ...a discussion of pulp and paper making by Reggie Widemon
...and a tour of the greenhouse teaching complex and horticultural gardens. Additionally, students toured displays on radio telemetry, GPS/GIS equipment, wildlife management, and much more.
