Facility Improvement Underway in Pulp and Paper Technology Program

Room 404 BEFORE; stay tuned for the AFTER photo.

Room 404 was a standard lecture room. We purchased some pulp samples and paper processing equipment and placed it in this room. The objective was that this room would become the new Pulp and Paper Technology lab (the BioTechnology lab would still be used for a lot of the wet lab processing test). Select equipment in Room 404 was used last semester with the "bucket brigade" method. By the end of the summer, we will have double door access for large equipment(like a digester and hopefully a midget paper machine), running water and drain outlets in this room along with all the electrical connections that we will need to conduct the paper unit operations processes. Special Thanks goes to Tommy Clements and the maintenance staff and Steve Kirton and his electrical classes for helping to make this vision a reality.
